Midlands Pal is part of the Pathways to Learning programme initiated originally by the Committee on Library Co-operation in Ireland (COLICO) in 2006. Participation in Midland PAL is open to all libraries in Ireland Midlands Region. Midlands Pal aims to create a seamless route to information resources for the public by opening up access to a wide range of midland libraries; public, academic and HSE. These libraries have all been made easily accessible through this scheme. The level of access decided by participating library is currently set at reading access however there is scope for development also in this regard.
