Library Collection
Cork City Libraries hold general interest collections for children and adults.  These are available in the Central Library, at six local libraries spread throughout the city, and through the mobile library and housebound services.  The Rory Gallagher Music Library has an extensive collection of recorded music (21,000+ items) in vinyl and CD formats, as well as scores, and books on music.
Cork City Libraries’ special collections include the Cork Local Studies collection, Childcare collection, and the Aruba Coghlan Dance collection.
The Local Studies collection collects and makes available Cork’s recorded heritage; it comprehensively collects all relevant local material in all formats – books – ca 10,300 monographs – journals, newspapers, audio-visual materials, pamphlets, photographs, and ephemera.
